A National Voice for Women and Girls
Zonta Australia provides a framework for greater advocacy as well as greater visibility of the organisation in national arenas. Through Zonta Australia advocacy we can strengthen the position of Zonta among the supporters of women and girls in Australia.
Zonta Australia, established in 2024, focuses on those issues pertinent to Zonta International goals in Australia. In order to put a position to government or other institutions it is important for Zonta to have a united position and to speak with one voice.
The Zonta Australia Committee, which includes the Governors from District 22, 23 and 24, three District Advocacy Chairs and a second representative from each District, develops and promotes key advocacy messages.
The Committee identifies advocacy action that can be implemented across Australia, and includes club suggestions and national awareness.
