An update on the Abortion Law Reform Amendment (Sex SelectionProhibition) Bill 2025

RESPONSES TO ZONTA D24 LETTER ON THE SEX SELECTION BILL @28/6/2026

Some more feedback from our NSW Parliamentarians following our letter writing campaign regarding the Bill.

Also, we have been invited to a joint meeting with Michael Regan MP Member for Wakehurst and Jacqui Scruby MP, Member for Pittwater.  They are both Independent MPs. They will talk with us about the Bill.  Jacqui supported the Abortion Law Reform Access Bill 2025 (which we lobbied for). Not sure how Michael voted. 

The Second Reading debate was held on 24 June and adjourned to an unknown date at this stage. There will probably be debate around the proposed amendments. Then move to the lower house if it passes.
