Join our first Intercontinental Think Tank of 2026. Hosted by Zontians from Asia and Oceania, we explore how cities can lead a just and climate-resilient future. This session brings together two exceptional speakers driving sustainable urban transformation across our region.
Huey Yoong, Head of Implementation for C40 Cities in East and Southeast Asia and Oceania, will open the session. Huey has led major climate action programs, including the £15 million UCAP Climate Action Implementation Programme, supporting cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Quezon City, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Her work focuses on embedding equity, accelerating energy transition and ensuring climate action delivers fair outcomes for all communities.
Krista Milne is the Director of Climate Change and City Resilience and co-Chief Heat Officer for the City of Melbourne. Krista is one of only eight Chief Heat Officers worldwide and leads strategies to protect communities from extreme heat and guide Melbourne toward net zero by 2040. With a long, hot summer ahead of us, Krista’s talk will be very timely.
