Speaking up to improve the status of women

Internationally, the organisation is working to advance the economic and health status of women by collaborating with Unifem, Unicef and UNFPA on projects in Rwanda, El Salvador, Liberia and funding projects to prevent violence against women in Cambodia, Egypt and Syria.

Locally, Zonta clubs in NSW and ACT work to advance the economic, health, legal, political, and professional status of women through a variety of service projects; through collaboration with other women's organisations such as the Australian Women's Coalition (AWC) and Project 5-0 (BPW, Soroptomist International, NCW, AFUW); and interactions with the Office for Women and Sex Discrimination Commissioner.
